We are all facing many challenges regarding the way we currently live, work, play, and celebrate significant moments in our lives. Being able to farewell a loved one at a meaningful Funeral Service is fundamental to all people.  During these difficult times, we will help you create the Celebration or Service for your loved one in a manner that allows you to say goodbye but also complies with our current restrictions.  Please remember you are not alone, we are here for you.

The health and safety of everyone attending a Funeral Service, including our staff and those required to conduct a Service is paramount to us.
We are taking every precaution possible to ensure this.  However,  we also need your help and co-operation by complying with the current restrictions.

Please see below for Current Government regulations in relation to COVID-19 and Funeral Service Gatherings.

  • As of 11.59pm Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 masks will be mandatory in all indoor settings (including funerals) for all persons aged 8 years and over, excluding those that have an exemption. Crawford's Staff kindly ask that masks are worn whilst in our chapel and office so that we can keep each other safe.

  • The Victorian Government has announced COVID-19 restrictions are being updated to ensure Victorians continue to have relaxed restrictions, while the Omicron variant is monitored and investigated.

  • The Pandemic Orders will take effect from 11.59pm, Wednesday 15 December 2021 and will be in place until 11.59pm on 12 January 2022. The changes include: The mandatory vaccination requirement will be removed for all customers in funerals (except when held at a hospitality setting).

  • All attendees of a Funeral Service are required to check in via the QR CODE at Crawford's Chapel to assist with any contact tracing efforts.

We understand the challenging nature of these restrictions and appreciate your cooperation at this time.
